Lisa Campagna-Grout, LMSW
Lisa is a compassionate clinician specializing in building self-awareness, self-worth, and healthy relational skills for individuals and family members. Lisa graduated from Loyola University Chicago with her Master of Social Work (MSW) degree in 2016. Prior to graduate school, Lisa worked for 10 years in the non-profit sector, in roles ranging from volunteer coordination to career counseling. Lisa then chose to become a psychotherapist because she believes wholeheartedly in human potential—the potential to learn, grow, and evolve into our most authentic and whole selves.
After obtaining her LMSW, Lisa worked for two years in substance use disorder treatment and recovery. Lisa is experienced in supporting women healing from addiction and relational trauma. Lisa specializes in family therapy and helping parents develop practical coping strategies and emotional regulation skills for challenging parenting moments; Lisa strongly believes that our children thrive when we take good care of ourselves. Lisa utilizes attachment theory and internal family systems therapy (IFS) in her work with clients. Lisa is skilled in CBT, DBT, motivational interviewing, mindfulness, grief/loss, and trauma-informed care. Lisa is also a practitioner of nonviolent communication (NVC), a skill set that is useful in managing conflict in personal and professional relationships.
Lisa’s clinical approach is humanistic, strengths-based, and collaborative. Lisa’s priority is that clients feel seen, heard, and valued in every therapeutic encounter. Lisa knows how hard it can be to ask for help: she wants you to know that you are not alone. We are all in this thing called the human experience together. It takes tremendous courage to make this step, and Lisa looks forward to walking beside you each step of the way.
In her free time, Lisa enjoys running, reading with a cup of hot coffee, listening to podcasts, and family dance parties in the kitchen with her two young children and husband.
