Andi Broffman, LMSW

Meet Andi

Andi Broffman is an experienced psychotherapist at our Ithaca office. Andi received her MSW from Syracuse University. Andi is a member of the Phi Kappa Phi Honors Society and Syracuse University’s Zeta Gamma Chapter of the Phi Alpha National Honors Society for Social Work students. During her MSW program, Andi interned for the Finger Lakes Addiction Counseling and Recovery Agency in their outpatient mental health clinic in Penn Yan, New York. During her internship, Andi supported clients ages 5 and older to address their mental health needs in a client-centered manner that focused on working with people in the context of their families, professional lives, and social circles.

Prior to receiving her MSW and joining Whole Wellness Counseling, Andi worked for Community Solutions, a national nonprofit whose mission is to create a society where homelessness, if it happens, is rare, brief, and non-recurring. Andi’s focus was supporting the integration of healthcare systems, health insurers, and homelessness response systems to meet the healthcare and housing needs of people experiencing homelessness.

As a therapist, Andi uses modalities like cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), mindfulness, motivational interviewing, and narrative therapy. Andi is dedicated to meeting her clients wherever they are in their journey toward wellness and will collaborate with you to select the treatment approaches that meet your needs and help you realize the changes you seek in your life.

When not in the office, Andi continues to work with Community Solutions as a consultant to support the work of ending homelessness across communities in the United States. She loves spending time with her partner, two dogs, and her cat. Andi enjoys reading, yoga, and traveling.
